I made valentines reservations for 6:45 and could barely get in the door to check in. The hostess was not friendly in the slightest. We were actually seated fairly promptly(unlike the many, many people cramped into the narrow entryway) but didn't see our waiter for about 30 minutes. Our waiter was in way over his head and brought the wrong appetizers to us and the table next to us. It took about 40 minutes to get our salads and our meals came out 5 minutes later. I watched a family get sat next to us as well that still hadn't gotten their drinks after 45 minutes when we left. I'm sure the service is better during slower times, but they should have been prepared for Valentine's Day. Lastly, The ribeye was mediocre and incredibly dry.

Not good at all. There were 7 of us in the party our first time in. Nothing anyone had was good. The pastas were ok. Personally, my salad was swimming in dressing. The bread was tasteless. My steak was cold and had to be sent back. Pretty sure it ended up in the microwave. It was blue cheese stuffed with "demi-glaze" - basically brown gravy. The awning says "prime steaks". No way. Completely unacceptable - more than one price on the check was higher than on the menu.

My husband and I have been here twice for dinner and the 2 experiences were very different but both great. The first was a late dinner after a long day at work and visiting a family member in the hospital. I was very pregnant, we were starving and the restaurant was packed and loud. I couldn't enjoy the wine list or gorgeous bar, and I also couldn't really hear my darling date very well. But the food was fantastic and we vowed to come back. Fast forward 5 months and we left our wee one with grandparents and came back for a date night. I forget how much I love this town when OU has an evening home game. We were one of 3 tables and still got to watch the game on their big screen over a shared bottle of wine. Our server was clearly new but very nice and let us take our time with the menu as our meal. My husband got the eggplant Parmesan and it was big enough to split but he loved it so much he was glad we hadn't. Thanks to another Yelper's advice, I ordered the gnocchi and it was fantastic. Both dishes were fresh and piping hot and the leftovers made for great lunches. Two days later out of the blue my husband said Sophabella's is his favorite Italian in town and I'd have to say I agree! The only downside is that it is a little on the pricey side, making it more of a treat than a staple for us.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. GO TO LA BAGUETTE - SO MUCH BETTER FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! If you disagree with the following review then have at it but I cannot say enough about how terrible this place is. I have been to this place 3 times. The first, as an experiment. The second, to give it another chance. And the third....to prove to a friend how bad a restaurant could really be. Let me preface this by saying the service was fine. It was the food I have a problem with. Reasons: 1. The most noticeable as you enter - the place smells pretty terrible. It's an older restaurant so it's probably something that has evolved over time but the entire main room of the restaurant smells much like your sink, 2 weeks after the disposal breaks, when you realize that the leftover egg salad you put down the drain a few weeks back is still just sitting there...rotting away. 2. The menu is massive. At least 55 options for main courses. Anytime a restaurant has this many choices you have to expect that a large portion of their options are pre-made, frozen, packaged, or, in other words, bad. Well, in this case your expectations would be correct. Also, they are in serious need of a dictionary because it looks like a 3rd grade spelling bee on that thing...Ceaser Salad, Steak and Fritz (it's Frites you ingrates...it's french), etc etc. 3. My personal experience (and the reason I am so passionately against this establishment) - I sat down, ordered a $14 glass of red wine (the best thing I had all night, would have cost me $6 at La Baguette), and ordered their afore mentioned, $21 "Steak and Fritz". I did so a.)because I wanted a steak, b.)because there were no other steak options that weren't coated in ridiculously heavy seasonings, sauces, and other flavor "enhancers" meant to cover up the poor quality of their meat. Well, even the steak I ordered had to come with a "coffee and peppercorn" crust (again, I didn't have much of a choice) so I sat and waited a total of 90 seconds, soaking in the smell of my broken sink, before the steak was plopped down in front of me. Yes, I meant 90 seconds. It was obvious this thing had been sitting in a bag in the back before they plopped it onto the grill for good sear and brought it out. Well I took one bite of this thing and knew immediately that it was inedible. Not only was it the saltiest piece of meat I had ever tasted, it was about as tough as my shoe. And I had asked for it rare!! Well, like anyone who had paid $21 for something that they couldn't eat, I called over the waitress and asked for a new steak. The manager came over, apologized, and recommended the $28 Steak Portobello. As I like mushrooms in general, I agreed and sure enough, 90 seconds later, I had my new steak. This time, a little shell shocked from the salt block I had put in my mouth moments earlier, I cut into this one to examine. I wish I had a picture of this thing because words don't do it justice. I know I asked for it rare, but, as and Oklahoman, I have had plenty of reasonable rare steaks. This thing was still mooing. It looked like it had been defrosted and not cooked. It was clear it had been a frozen steak plopped on the grill to chip of the ice. Well, once again I asked for the manager. When he came over and saw the tail wagging on my ribeye, he fully understood the situation I was in. He told me he would take it back and throw it on the grill in an attempt to actually cook this thing. For the third time, he was back 90 seconds later with a steak that was just slightly less cold but still clearly un-cooked. At this point I decided to cut my losses and just asked for the check. I wasn't really sure what I would be paying for, considering I didn't actually eat anything, but was delighted to find out that they had charged me full price....FOR BOTH STEAKS!!!! Well, long story short(er), I eventually convinced the manager that this was clearly an injustice and didn't have to pay for either steak. He was kind enough to offer me a steak for the road to which I said, "Are you f#@ing serious?" Lesson learned ladies and gentlemen. Go to La Baguette. I love that mimosas are $1 a glass or $8 for a carafe! But the food is very "sodexho just dropped me off", my biscuits and gravy were clearly frozen and not made in house. The rest of the table ordered cinnamon rolls... but they were cold. This made them hard and unappetizing. The salmon rustic was horrible - can anyone say frozen filet and microwaved? I felt like I was eating a fish stick. I'll only return to drink and then not notice the food. I've had the quiche before and it was great! Most of my table regretted their choices and the server took away more than half full plates. Nice spread, but not great effort on making the dishes great. Maybe redo your menu to limit the items and then specialize in them. You're too spread out. Make this feel special, not regrettable.

I was a first timer, but couldn't have been more excited because my friends rave about the brunch here. Sadly, I got a terrible first impression. I hate when that happens, because the place very well maybe worth it but it's just hard to give it another shot. I got the Cajun eggs Benedict which are described as a toasted English muffin topped with andouille sausage and a jalapeño hollandaise and added home fries. I'm anticipating a fluffy English muffin and creamy spicy sauce... Instead I got a thin, soggy English muffin. And the jalapeño sauce was simply hollandaise topped with pickled jalapeño and I couldn't really even taste the hollandaise. The andouille sausage was just sliced up and strewn about the plate. The home fries were soggy and luke warm. The whole plate looked like an after thought and I was totally bummed.

I have been here a couple of times and it was mediocre, but never great. However, this time was just all around bad. We sat down and it took close to 15 minutes to get to just get waters and another 10 to get our mimosas. Then, it took another 20 minutes for us to order. Our food came out promptly, however the biscuits on the biscuits and gravy were cold and the rest of it was mediocre at best. At the end, I paid cash and my friend paid with her card and it took over 10 minutes for our server to bring back her payment. The only thing saving this place is the prices. $1 mimosas is hard to beat!

It was very entertaining to watch this display of bad management and terrible service as we watched 4 tables get up and leave while we were there. The table next to us was there for an hour and a half and never saw food, they finally came to their senses and left.

I really like this place... if you have any itch for a deep dish pizza then this is the place to get it... i have liked every pizza ive had from here and still havent been able to finish one of them.... the menu has a number of other non-pizza delights as well.. i had a steak au poive last time and was extremely content with the results.. nice and tender and plenty juicy... and they have a small outdoor patio nice for a few early evening drinks.. i also seem to remember mimosa specials for sunday brunch... $1 mimosas i do believe..

The service was horrible. While the server was taking my order he told me to hold on and proceeded to get the drink order at another table. When he brought the salad did not offer if we wanted crack pepper, i only notice after another server offer it to another table. We had to ask the busboy for bread, the bread was not fully cooked. When dinner was serve I have not even taken a bite and the server was asking what we wanted for dessert.. I had the tuna and it was delicious, the rest of the family had steak and it was tough. Definitely will be awhile before I'll try them again.

This place does not disappoint. I've been for brunch and dinner and I'm so impressed. The prosciutto asparagus frittata is my favorite thing to order on the brunch menu. But the mimosa specials are the best deals that you will find in OKC! It's $1 per mimosa, $4 for a half carafe and $8 for a full carafe. Sophabella's has a great atmosphere and wonderful service. I highly recommend it!

The layout and decoration of the restaurant are really nice especially if you are a large group of people. We were about 14 people and were seated in the large square table, it felt like a private party! The food is average and a bit too salty. Their daily soup was potato soup but the waitress didn't have much to say about it. I tried it, it wasn't the best. The consistency was not good. I also tried the margarita pizza, i chose it hand tossed, it wasn't fully cooked. Overall I would say the atmosphere of the place is good but the food is not so good.

This place caught me off guard when I first walked in. It was dark and dreary and this place could use some serious urban remodeling. Not to mention the crowd was a little bit older than expected. We decided to sit anyways and thank God we did! The food was amazing and the plates were huge with large portions. I got the French toast which was sweet but not to sweet and the strawberries were succulent and juicy. Plus who can beat 1 dollar mimosas for brunch! Now on the contrary their cinnamon rolls are absolutely disgusting and take like lifeless bread with cinnamon on top. And the service was so sub par. It felt like we saw our server only twice. It took so long for everything. Oh well the food was amazing.

I have been wanting to try Sophabella's for a while because I live literally right down the street from it. My mother and I were searching for a brunch spot this morning so we checked out their menu online and decided to give it a try. The first impression upon walking into the restaurant was great. It is very nice and clean inside; fancy looking but not too overdone. They have a Bloody Mary bar but I was being a bit noncommittal and decided to have the bartender make mine and it was delicious, plus it was only $4. They also have $1 mimosas! $1??! If I hadn't been hungover, I would've had 5 of them! That's the best mimosa deal I've ever seen and it's a pretty damn good Bloody Mary deal as well. For brunch, I ordered the egg white vegetarian omelette with hash browns and a wheat english muffin and I must add that there were many choices for the sides but I'm glad I got what I did. The hash browns were perfect: They practically had no grease on them at all but they were browned to perfection and I didn't feel guilty about eating them all. I'm used to ordering hash browns and them being slathered in oil. Gross. The egg white omelette was very fluffy and stuffed to the max with vegetables. Everything was wonderful and it was perfect for the state I was in (mentioned above). On top of everything else, the service was impeccable! Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to trying Sophabella's for lunch or dinner. I would have given 5 stars but I thought it was a tad bit overpriced considering the food was good, it just wasn't mind blowing. I think my food alone was around $10 but they really made up for that with the cheap alcoholic beverages. Wow, this review makes me sound like a total alcoholic. Go to Sophabella's for brunch!

I'm going with a solid three stars here, despite genuinely wanting it to be better. I live so close to this local Italian joint, and it would be just wonderful to absolutely love it. Sadly, I do not. We came right at 7 and were one of only three tables. A few people came in to get takeout, and another person came in after we got our food. Despite a large restaurant, we were all clumped together. Not just in the same dining room, but like back to back with other diners despite a dozen empty tables in that area alone. The decor is a hodgepodge of new and old, modern and just kind of bizzare. I feel like it would be a prime candidate for Bar Rescue, and we discussed this during dinner. It's not bad, per se, but it's also not comforting or particularly welcoming, The drink list is an absolute tome. Martinis, specialty drinks, a roster of other drinks they can make, wines by the glass and bottle, so much to consider. Now, this would be a gift, except they were out of certain things, like oranges for the old fashioned we ordered; we ordered a Bellini but the blender was on the fritz. They finally got it working, but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out. Which meant, we were drinking cocktails with dinner, rather than wine. I'm sure this is a problem for their bottom line, since we would have ordered more drinks if they'd come out more quickly. I'd rather see them limit their list than be out of things and take forever or not actually be available. The food was just not up to par with the prices. I felt bad, because I had suggested it, but I know it was expensive for everyone, for the quality. The bruschetta, for $8.95, was 2 rolls, cut in half, smeared with pesto and topped with tomato and shredded parm. The parm was cold, and not melted. It was certainly not worth the money, and I actually should have sent it back. We split the chicken parm, and added a side salad. The parm was good, but too salty. The noodles were overcooked, in my opinion. Also, one of my friends ordered the baked potato soup, and she could not eat it. It was a weird consistency, like oily somehow, and perhaps some of the cream had actually cooked? In any case, it was not appetizing enough to eat. The Caesar was the best part of the meal, as it was crisp with a great dressing, but not drowning in it. Our server was polite and helpful enough, but the entire experience was just off. At times, we went too long without things, like drinks, but then our food came out before we were finished with salads. All in, I probably won't be back unless I hear things have gotten better.

I only rated this place 2 stars because it was absolutely disgustingly filthy. The table the host sat us at looked like it had been wiped down but had dried up sauce or something on it, the bathrooms were the worst thing as far as cleanliness, and the silverware was dirty also. The food was ok the quiche was actually pretty good and the mimosas were only a dollar. However, I will NEVER return to such a filthy place to put food in my mouth. Owners and management need to step it up and clean that filthy place!

We were so excited to go here, and ended up really disappointed. They served my boyfriend's swordfish to another table, so he had to wait for them to cook another. The 6 other people at our table were almost finished by the time they served him. We then realized that the swordfish was not only undercooked, but completely raw. I can't imagine that they had even put it into a hot skillet, as it was still the temperature and consistency of having just been defrosted. My lobster bisque was in fact a sort of chowder, not bisque, and my stuffed salmon was cold upon being served. We will not be back, and would discourage others from visiting.

I love the fact they do brunch until 4. I have been here a few times over the years, every time I leave happy and full. The servers here recognize and appreciate the regulars. I always sit in either Blaine or "The Wizard's" section. The Cajun Benedict and Bloody Mary Bar is amazing as well.

The organization for valentine's day at this restaurant was horrible. We had reservations and arrived on time. When we got there a huge line was crowded around the door, all people who also had reservations. Most people were waiting an hour past there reservation time to be seated. We were fortunate enough to slide up to the bar for a drink. We also ordered an appetizer while waiting. Do not ever get the spinach artichoke dip here. It was similar to cold cream of mushroom soup served with texas toast. 45 minutes after of reservation time we were seated. Our server neglected us and then when he came by to take our order we got the laundry list of things they were out of already. For how horrible the rest of the experience was our entrees were actually pretty good. However i will just list all the other problems that occured. We never received bread for our table, our table was nasty and had no table cloth, I was charged extra for a Ceasar salad even though they were out and gave me a house salad with Ceasar dressing, we were charged extra for the glasses for our wine, and no attempt to rectify how horrible service was, was ever made. My advice to the restaurant: if you don't know how to use open table, don't put you restaurant on there. We will never be returning and I think a lot of others feel that way after that fiasco.

This was a cozy Italian restaurant with dimmed lighting = great date place. There was about a 20 minute wait when we arrived on a Saturday night. The dining room was small and every table was filled up including the private party room in the back. However, the noise level wasn't loud, thankfully. I got the chicken bow tie pasta. It was good but not anything I'd rave about. I liked the chicken and the pasta wasn't overcoked. The menu had a variety of options and most entrees were around $13ish. Even though it was a busy night, service was still great. What I really liked about this place was the ambiance. The food was just ok.

Great food! I would definitely recommend Sophabella's as a place to eat. We walked in around seven in the evening on a Sunday, ordered five meals and started our feast. My meal of choice happened to be the grilled salmon with a baked potato, grilled 'chef veggies', and a pint of Guinness (happy St. Patty's day). I was never really one for fish, but something changed my mind tonight. No regrets. The salmon tasted like good salmon and the baked potato was cooked to perfection. Sophabella's is an Italian restaurant. If you're looking for Italian, then I fear I don't have the credentials to provide an honest review. However I will say that the pizzas that were being served tonight looked like honest pies. They looked phenomenal. Maybe next time! I hope to be back for more.

Went for Sunday brunch because I love me some Sophabella's Bloody Mary bar. They don't do lots of different mixes, just use Zing Zang (which is fine by me) - what sets it apart is the salad on the side. Artichoke hearts. Pepperoni. Olives. Okra. Green beans. Anything you could want to dress up your drink. So nice. Food was great, as always. Service was a little rough, as it is apt to be for their Sunday brunch. It always seems as if they don't anticipate how busy they're going to be, and then don't have enough people. But so what if you have to wait a little bit for your brunch, or if they forget to make yours altogether (as they did mine today). Just have another Bloody Mary. Hmmmmmm - maybe they are crazy like foxes.

My friend and i came here for brunch and omg it was amazing! The drinks were on point with value and taste ($1 Mimosa & Poinsettia) The atmosphere was so classy yet cute! It was a full house on a Sunday morning. The staff was so sweet, which always makes everything better! I had the Chicken Mushroom Crepes.. it was delish! It was two crepes stuffed with grilled chicken, mushrooms, spinach, and an amazing five cheese blend! It was topped off with some sort of white cream sauce and i got a side of fruit. My friend is a vegetarian so she order the Egg White Veggie Omelet - she loved it! I love this place and would definitely go back :)

It's not really fair, I grew up in New York, so I've had the best Pizza in the world.. but they are okay.. Nice beautiful place, candle light is Great, nice place to take a date if you would like some privacy as well as good atmosphere. The wait staff is good, they even have a bar.. all in all, I'd go there again, it's really nice. Everything gets an A+ but when it comes to the Pizza, they are more Deep Dish Chi town style.. now I can say that's the best Chi Town Pizza Ever.. but you can't come close to NY Pizza.. No one can.. this place gets 4 stars... =)

I went on a Wednesday night and almost no one was there. The staff was friendly enough, but the bread wasn't good, and the pizza had way too much cheese. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The interior of the restaurant is dark and imposing, and it felt very dead and depressing. The menu and prices were a little too high end for their location (right next to a sonic), and overall the food wasn't good enough to overcome the oppressive atmosphere.
Outstanding pizza as always! Service was awesome tonight.

Really good Italian food! We have tried a couple of others since moving to the OKC area (Nomad and some other restaurant on NW Expwy), but this is the only one we have been to more than once. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and we have found it to be clean every time we have been. (I have not checked out the bathrooms.) The waitstaff have been genuinely nice and helpful. They have been able to make good recomendations on food and wine and didn't act put out when we asked for items that weren't on the menu. They are quick to get drinks and bread to your table and have asked how our food was in an appropriate amount of time after it was delivered. We have ordered Linguini Besciamella, Spicy Shrimp and Italian Sausage, Veal Piccata (off menu, we asked, they made it) and another pasta dish, though I don't remember what it was because my husband ordered it. We have also had the dauphine potatoes, steamed vegetables and a couple of pizzas. My Great-Grandmother was Sicilian and my Grandfather was born and raised in New Orleans and learned to cook from her, so when it comes to calling Italian (or Cajun) food 'good', I am pretty picky. I have really enjoyed everything we have had here. The Italian Sausage (on pizza and in pasta) reminds me of my Grandfathers; it has such great flavor! I like my food spicy and the Spicy Shrimp and Italian Sausage really hit the spot! It isn't going to set your head on fire, but if you like bland food, don't order it. I have taken a pizza to go and to be honest, thought the toppings on it were sparse, but we then went and ate pizza there and it was loaded. Maybe the to-go one was just a one-time thing? I remember for the one we ate in the restaurant, we ordered the hand-tossed. The crust was delicious! Not too bready and just the right crustiness! I haven't seen any children in here, but we have only been for dinner, and usually a little later in the evening. We can't wait to try brunch! This is one restaurant that we will be excited to take visitors to when they come to see us.

I recently ordered veal for dinner. This was the second chance I gave them to get it right. I even told Emily my server that the last time the veal was tough and ask if they would be very selective. The veal arrived and it was again tough and not good at all. What was so bad about this experience is that I told them and no one cared! Nothing at all to make it right. I would find another Italian restaurant - pass on this one.

Underwhelming. Went there for brunch and hoped the long wait would be an indicator of a good meal- no - it was an indicator of poor service. The fresh jalapeño hollandaise on the Cajun benedict showed up on a sparse plate with pickled jalapeños.(see picture) Waitress lost our order. My biggest disappointment was realizing that we could hav gone to La Baguette just down the street.

Must I even leave one star? Classy prices for disappointing, bland food. I just ordered a Chicago style pizza (used to be the best Chicago deep dish in the city) and picked up a soggy, doughy pan crust that was completely inedible. The pasta is horrid too. No flavor, served luke warm. Avoid if you can and don't try to have a business lunch or bring a date here.

My friend heard about this place so we tried it for Brunch, like the other person said you'd think the wait was cause it was good but it's really just poor service. Despite not being that busy the service was really slow, than they lost our order. Strangely when our order did come out it was cold. The food was ok but I thought a bit bland(and cold). My friend said his food tasted good. I might try it again in a year or two but I have no reason to go back anytime soon.

Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I made valentines reservations for 6:45 and could barely get in the door to check in. The hostess was not friendly in the slightest. We were actually seated fairly promptly(unlike the many, many people cramped into the narrow entryway) but didn't see our waiter for about 30 minutes. Our waiter was in way over his head and brought the wrong appetizers to us and the table next to us. It took about 40 minutes to get our salads and our meals came out 5 minutes later. I watched a family get sat next to us as well that still hadn't gotten their drinks after 45 minutes when we left. I'm sure the service is better during slower times, but they should have been prepared for Valentine's Day. Lastly, The ribeye was mediocre and incredibly dry.

Not good at all. There were 7 of us in the party our first time in. Nothing anyone had was good. The pastas were ok. Personally, my salad was swimming in dressing. The bread was tasteless. My steak was cold and had to be sent back. Pretty sure it ended up in the microwave. It was blue cheese stuffed with "demi-glaze" - basically brown gravy. The awning says "prime steaks". No way. Completely unacceptable - more than one price on the check was higher than on the menu.

My husband and I have been here twice for dinner and the 2 experiences were very different but both great. The first was a late dinner after a long day at work and visiting a family member in the hospital. I was very pregnant, we were starving and the restaurant was packed and loud. I couldn't enjoy the wine list or gorgeous bar, and I also couldn't really hear my darling date very well. But the food was fantastic and we vowed to come back. Fast forward 5 months and we left our wee one with grandparents and came back for a date night. I forget how much I love this town when OU has an evening home game. We were one of 3 tables and still got to watch the game on their big screen over a shared bottle of wine. Our server was clearly new but very nice and let us take our time with the menu as our meal. My husband got the eggplant Parmesan and it was big enough to split but he loved it so much he was glad we hadn't. Thanks to another Yelper's advice, I ordered the gnocchi and it was fantastic. Both dishes were fresh and piping hot and the leftovers made for great lunches. Two days later out of the blue my husband said Sophabella's is his favorite Italian in town and I'd have to say I agree! The only downside is that it is a little on the pricey side, making it more of a treat than a staple for us.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. GO TO LA BAGUETTE - SO MUCH BETTER FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! If you disagree with the following review then have at it but I cannot say enough about how terrible this place is. I have been to this place 3 times. The first, as an experiment. The second, to give it another chance. And the third....to prove to a friend how bad a restaurant could really be. Let me preface this by saying the service was fine. It was the food I have a problem with. Reasons: 1. The most noticeable as you enter - the place smells pretty terrible. It's an older restaurant so it's probably something that has evolved over time but the entire main room of the restaurant smells much like your sink, 2 weeks after the disposal breaks, when you realize that the leftover egg salad you put down the drain a few weeks back is still just sitting there...rotting away. 2. The menu is massive. At least 55 options for main courses. Anytime a restaurant has this many choices you have to expect that a large portion of their options are pre-made, frozen, packaged, or, in other words, bad. Well, in this case your expectations would be correct. Also, they are in serious need of a dictionary because it looks like a 3rd grade spelling bee on that thing...Ceaser Salad, Steak and Fritz (it's Frites you ingrates...it's french), etc etc. 3. My personal experience (and the reason I am so passionately against this establishment) - I sat down, ordered a $14 glass of red wine (the best thing I had all night, would have cost me $6 at La Baguette), and ordered their afore mentioned, $21 "Steak and Fritz". I did so a.)because I wanted a steak, b.)because there were no other steak options that weren't coated in ridiculously heavy seasonings, sauces, and other flavor "enhancers" meant to cover up the poor quality of their meat. Well, even the steak I ordered had to come with a "coffee and peppercorn" crust (again, I didn't have much of a choice) so I sat and waited a total of 90 seconds, soaking in the smell of my broken sink, before the steak was plopped down in front of me. Yes, I meant 90 seconds. It was obvious this thing had been sitting in a bag in the back before they plopped it onto the grill for good sear and brought it out. Well I took one bite of this thing and knew immediately that it was inedible. Not only was it the saltiest piece of meat I had ever tasted, it was about as tough as my shoe. And I had asked for it rare!! Well, like anyone who had paid $21 for something that they couldn't eat, I called over the waitress and asked for a new steak. The manager came over, apologized, and recommended the $28 Steak Portobello. As I like mushrooms in general, I agreed and sure enough, 90 seconds later, I had my new steak. This time, a little shell shocked from the salt block I had put in my mouth moments earlier, I cut into this one to examine. I wish I had a picture of this thing because words don't do it justice. I know I asked for it rare, but, as and Oklahoman, I have had plenty of reasonable rare steaks. This thing was still mooing. It looked like it had been defrosted and not cooked. It was clear it had been a frozen steak plopped on the grill to chip of the ice. Well, once again I asked for the manager. When he came over and saw the tail wagging on my ribeye, he fully understood the situation I was in. He told me he would take it back and throw it on the grill in an attempt to actually cook this thing. For the third time, he was back 90 seconds later with a steak that was just slightly less cold but still clearly un-cooked. At this point I decided to cut my losses and just asked for the check. I wasn't really sure what I would be paying for, considering I didn't actually eat anything, but was delighted to find out that they had charged me full price....FOR BOTH STEAKS!!!! Well, long story short(er), I eventually convinced the manager that this was clearly an injustice and didn't have to pay for either steak. He was kind enough to offer me a steak for the road to which I said, "Are you f#@ing serious?" Lesson learned ladies and gentlemen. Go to La Baguette. I love that mimosas are $1 a glass or $8 for a carafe! But the food is very "sodexho just dropped me off", my biscuits and gravy were clearly frozen and not made in house. The rest of the table ordered cinnamon rolls... but they were cold. This made them hard and unappetizing. The salmon rustic was horrible - can anyone say frozen filet and microwaved? I felt like I was eating a fish stick. I'll only return to drink and then not notice the food. I've had the quiche before and it was great! Most of my table regretted their choices and the server took away more than half full plates. Nice spread, but not great effort on making the dishes great. Maybe redo your menu to limit the items and then specialize in them. You're too spread out. Make this feel special, not regrettable.

We had an early dinner when the restaurant was well lit.....This place needs a deep cleaning and some remodeling!! The food was good though. I had the eggplant and Portobello parm it was huge and delicious.

I was a first timer, but couldn't have been more excited because my friends rave about the brunch here. Sadly, I got a terrible first impression. I hate when that happens, because the place very well maybe worth it but it's just hard to give it another shot. I got the Cajun eggs Benedict which are described as a toasted English muffin topped with andouille sausage and a jalapeño hollandaise and added home fries. I'm anticipating a fluffy English muffin and creamy spicy sauce... Instead I got a thin, soggy English muffin. And the jalapeño sauce was simply hollandaise topped with pickled jalapeño and I couldn't really even taste the hollandaise. The andouille sausage was just sliced up and strewn about the plate. The home fries were soggy and luke warm. The whole plate looked like an after thought and I was totally bummed.

I have been here a couple of times and it was mediocre, but never great. However, this time was just all around bad. We sat down and it took close to 15 minutes to get to just get waters and another 10 to get our mimosas. Then, it took another 20 minutes for us to order. Our food came out promptly, however the biscuits on the biscuits and gravy were cold and the rest of it was mediocre at best. At the end, I paid cash and my friend paid with her card and it took over 10 minutes for our server to bring back her payment. The only thing saving this place is the prices. $1 mimosas is hard to beat!

If you want really really bad service then this is the place to be. It was very entertaining to watch this display of bad management and terrible service as we watched 4 tables get up and leave while we were there. The table next to us was there for an hour and a half and never saw food, they finally came to their senses and left.

I really like this place... if you have any itch for a deep dish pizza then this is the place to get it... i have liked every pizza ive had from here and still havent been able to finish one of them.... the menu has a number of other non-pizza delights as well.. i had a steak au poive last time and was extremely content with the results.. nice and tender and plenty juicy... and they have a small outdoor patio nice for a few early evening drinks.. i also seem to remember mimosa specials for sunday brunch... $1 mimosas i do believe..

The service was horrible. While the server was taking my order he told me to hold on and proceeded to get the drink order at another table. When he brought the salad did not offer if we wanted crack pepper, i only notice after another server offer it to another table. We had to ask the busboy for bread, the bread was not fully cooked. When dinner was serve I have not even taken a bite and the server was asking what we wanted for dessert.. I had the tuna and it was delicious, the rest of the family had steak and it was tough. Definitely will be awhile before I'll try them again.

This place does not disappoint. I've been for brunch and dinner and I'm so impressed. The prosciutto asparagus frittata is my favorite thing to order on the brunch menu. But the mimosa specials are the best deals that you will find in OKC! It's $1 per mimosa, $4 for a half carafe and $8 for a full carafe. Sophabella's has a great atmosphere and wonderful service. I highly recommend it!

The layout and decoration of the restaurant are really nice especially if you are a large group of people. We were about 14 people and were seated in the large square table, it felt like a private party! The food is average and a bit too salty. Their daily soup was potato soup but the waitress didn't have much to say about it. I tried it, it wasn't the best. The consistency was not good. I also tried the margarita pizza, i chose it hand tossed, it wasn't fully cooked. Overall I would say the atmosphere of the place is good but the food is not so good.

This place caught me off guard when I first walked in. It was dark and dreary and this place could use some serious urban remodeling. Not to mention the crowd was a little bit older than expected. We decided to sit anyways and thank God we did! The food was amazing and the plates were huge with large portions. I got the French toast which was sweet but not to sweet and the strawberries were succulent and juicy. Plus who can beat 1 dollar mimosas for brunch! Now on the contrary their cinnamon rolls are absolutely disgusting and take like lifeless bread with cinnamon on top. And the service was so sub par. It felt like we saw our server only twice. It took so long for everything. Oh well the food was amazing.

I have been wanting to try Sophabella's for a while because I live literally right down the street from it. My mother and I were searching for a brunch spot this morning so we checked out their menu online and decided to give it a try. The first impression upon walking into the restaurant was great. It is very nice and clean inside; fancy looking but not too overdone. They have a Bloody Mary bar but I was being a bit noncommittal and decided to have the bartender make mine and it was delicious, plus it was only $4. They also have $1 mimosas! $1??! If I hadn't been hungover, I would've had 5 of them! That's the best mimosa deal I've ever seen and it's a pretty damn good Bloody Mary deal as well. For brunch, I ordered the egg white vegetarian omelette with hash browns and a wheat english muffin and I must add that there were many choices for the sides but I'm glad I got what I did. The hash browns were perfect: They practically had no grease on them at all but they were browned to perfection and I didn't feel guilty about eating them all. I'm used to ordering hash browns and them being slathered in oil. Gross. The egg white omelette was very fluffy and stuffed to the max with vegetables. Everything was wonderful and it was perfect for the state I was in (mentioned above). On top of everything else, the service was impeccable! Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to trying Sophabella's for lunch or dinner. I would have given 5 stars but I thought it was a tad bit overpriced considering the food was good, it just wasn't mind blowing. I think my food alone was around $10 but they really made up for that with the cheap alcoholic beverages. Wow, this review makes me sound like a total alcoholic. Go to Sophabella's for brunch!

There are better choices. OKC is actually a very good food town. This is the single worst restaurant that I have tried here. First impressions. Dirty front door Dirty clothes on service staff Nice decode inside Uneducated staff. Our waitress said this wine is like a party in your mouth. Appetizer of mussels. Was good Bread. Good Entree selection was ok. I had a chicken Pesto dish that actually add me sick. Won't return. Try Cheddars instead.

I'm going with a solid three stars here, despite genuinely wanting it to be better. I live so close to this local Italian joint, and it would be just wonderful to absolutely love it. Sadly, I do not. We came right at 7 and were one of only three tables. A few people came in to get takeout, and another person came in after we got our food. Despite a large restaurant, we were all clumped together. Not just in the same dining room, but like back to back with other diners despite a dozen empty tables in that area alone. The decor is a hodgepodge of new and old, modern and just kind of bizzare. I feel like it would be a prime candidate for Bar Rescue, and we discussed this during dinner. It's not bad, per se, but it's also not comforting or particularly welcoming, The drink list is an absolute tome. Martinis, specialty drinks, a roster of other drinks they can make, wines by the glass and bottle, so much to consider. Now, this would be a gift, except they were out of certain things, like oranges for the old fashioned we ordered; we ordered a Bellini but the blender was on the fritz. They finally got it working, but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out. Which meant, we were drinking cocktails with dinner, rather than wine. I'm sure this is a problem for their bottom line, since we would have ordered more drinks if they'd come out more quickly. I'd rather see them limit their list than be out of things and take forever or not actually be available. The food was just not up to par with the prices. I felt bad, because I had suggested it, but I know it was expensive for everyone, for the quality. The bruschetta, for $8.95, was 2 rolls, cut in half, smeared with pesto and topped with tomato and shredded parm. The parm was cold, and not melted. It was certainly not worth the money, and I actually should have sent it back. We split the chicken parm, and added a side salad. The parm was good, but too salty. The noodles were overcooked, in my opinion. Also, one of my friends ordered the baked potato soup, and she could not eat it. It was a weird consistency, like oily somehow, and perhaps some of the cream had actually cooked? In any case, it was not appetizing enough to eat. The Caesar was the best part of the meal, as it was crisp with a great dressing, but not drowning in it. Our server was polite and helpful enough, but the entire experience was just off. At times, we went too long without things, like drinks, but then our food came out before we were finished with salads. All in, I probably won't be back unless I hear things have gotten better.

I only rated this place 2 stars because it was absolutely disgustingly filthy. The table the host sat us at looked like it had been wiped down but had dried up sauce or something on it, the bathrooms were the worst thing as far as cleanliness, and the silverware was dirty also. The food was ok the quiche was actually pretty good and the mimosas were only a dollar. However, I will NEVER return to such a filthy place to put food in my mouth. Owners and management need to step it up and clean that filthy place!

We were so excited to go here, and ended up really disappointed. They served my boyfriend's swordfish to another table, so he had to wait for them to cook another. The 6 other people at our table were almost finished by the time they served him. We then realized that the swordfish was not only undercooked, but completely raw. I can't imagine that they had even put it into a hot skillet, as it was still the temperature and consistency of having just been defrosted. My lobster bisque was in fact a sort of chowder, not bisque, and my stuffed salmon was cold upon being served. We will not be back, and would discourage others from visiting.

I love the fact they do brunch until 4. I have been here a few times over the years, every time I leave happy and full. The servers here recognize and appreciate the regulars. I always sit in either Blaine or "The Wizard's" section. The Cajun Benedict and Bloody Mary Bar is amazing as well.

The organization for valentine's day at this restaurant was horrible. We had reservations and arrived on time. When we got there a huge line was crowded around the door, all people who also had reservations. Most people were waiting an hour past there reservation time to be seated. We were fortunate enough to slide up to the bar for a drink. We also ordered an appetizer while waiting. Do not ever get the spinach artichoke dip here. It was similar to cold cream of mushroom soup served with texas toast. 45 minutes after of reservation time we were seated. Our server neglected us and then when he came by to take our order we got the laundry list of things they were out of already. For how horrible the rest of the experience was our entrees were actually pretty good. However i will just list all the other problems that occured. We never received bread for our table, our table was nasty and had no table cloth, I was charged extra for a Ceasar salad even though they were out and gave me a house salad with Ceasar dressing, we were charged extra for the glasses for our wine, and no attempt to rectify how horrible service was, was ever made. My advice to the restaurant: if you don't know how to use open table, don't put you restaurant on there. We will never be returning and I think a lot of others feel that way after that fiasco.

This was a cozy Italian restaurant with dimmed lighting = great date place. There was about a 20 minute wait when we arrived on a Saturday night. The dining room was small and every table was filled up including the private party room in the back. However, the noise level wasn't loud, thankfully. I got the chicken bow tie pasta. It was good but not anything I'd rave about. I liked the chicken and the pasta wasn't overcoked. The menu had a variety of options and most entrees were around $13ish. Even though it was a busy night, service was still great. What I really liked about this place was the ambiance. The food was just ok.

Great food! I would definitely recommend Sophabella's as a place to eat. We walked in around seven in the evening on a Sunday, ordered five meals and started our feast. My meal of choice happened to be the grilled salmon with a baked potato, grilled 'chef veggies', and a pint of Guinness (happy St. Patty's day). I was never really one for fish, but something changed my mind tonight. No regrets. The salmon tasted like good salmon and the baked potato was cooked to perfection. Sophabella's is an Italian restaurant. If you're looking for Italian, then I fear I don't have the credentials to provide an honest review. However I will say that the pizzas that were being served tonight looked like honest pies. They looked phenomenal. Maybe next time! I hope to be back for more.

Went for Sunday brunch because I love me some Sophabella's Bloody Mary bar. They don't do lots of different mixes, just use Zing Zang (which is fine by me) - what sets it apart is the salad on the side. Artichoke hearts. Pepperoni. Olives. Okra. Green beans. Anything you could want to dress up your drink. So nice. Food was great, as always. Service was a little rough, as it is apt to be for their Sunday brunch. It always seems as if they don't anticipate how busy they're going to be, and then don't have enough people. But so what if you have to wait a little bit for your brunch, or if they forget to make yours altogether (as they did mine today). Just have another Bloody Mary. Hmmmmmm - maybe they are crazy like foxes.

My friend and i came here for brunch and omg it was amazing! The drinks were on point with value and taste ($1 Mimosa & Poinsettia) The atmosphere was so classy yet cute! It was a full house on a Sunday morning. The staff was so sweet, which always makes everything better! I had the Chicken Mushroom Crepes.. it was delish! It was two crepes stuffed with grilled chicken, mushrooms, spinach, and an amazing five cheese blend! It was topped off with some sort of white cream sauce and i got a side of fruit. My friend is a vegetarian so she order the Egg White Veggie Omelet - she loved it! I love this place and would definitely go back :)

It's not really fair, I grew up in New York, so I've had the best Pizza in the world.. but they are okay.. Nice beautiful place, candle light is Great, nice place to take a date if you would like some privacy as well as good atmosphere. The wait staff is good, they even have a bar.. all in all, I'd go there again, it's really nice. Everything gets an A+ but when it comes to the Pizza, they are more Deep Dish Chi town style.. now I can say that's the best Chi Town Pizza Ever.. but you can't come close to NY Pizza.. No one can.. this place gets 4 stars... =)

I went on a Wednesday night and almost no one was there. The staff was friendly enough, but the bread wasn't good, and the pizza had way too much cheese. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The interior of the restaurant is dark and imposing, and it felt very dead and depressing. The menu and prices were a little too high end for their location (right next to a sonic), and overall the food wasn't good enough to overcome the oppressive atmosphere.

Sunday brunch is terrible! The frittata with prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes was over done and lacking in enough prosciutto to taste and if there was asparagus in there, I couldn't find any. The poached eggs with chipotle hollandaise sauce over asparagus & crab cake were terrible; the asparagus was not properly dressed and the sauce lacked ANY flavor, much less chipotle. The quiche was terrible and over done. The biscuits and gravy were served in a bowl prior to the entrée - who in the world thought of that timing?!? Finally, the wait staff are not properly trained in serving, handing plates across noses and faces rather than walking to the person being served and properly presenting their plate; serve from the right, take away from the left! Serving across the table is only acceptable when serving patrons in a booth. We've been there twice now, first and last.

Really good Italian food! We have tried a couple of others since moving to the OKC area (Nomad and some other restaurant on NW Expwy), but this is the only one we have been to more than once. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and we have found it to be clean every time we have been. (I have not checked out the bathrooms.) The waitstaff have been genuinely nice and helpful. They have been able to make good recomendations on food and wine and didn't act put out when we asked for items that weren't on the menu. They are quick to get drinks and bread to your table and have asked how our food was in an appropriate amount of time after it was delivered. We have ordered Linguini Besciamella, Spicy Shrimp and Italian Sausage, Veal Piccata (off menu, we asked, they made it) and another pasta dish, though I don't remember what it was because my husband ordered it. We have also had the dauphine potatoes, steamed vegetables and a couple of pizzas. My Great-Grandmother was Sicilian and my Grandfather was born and raised in New Orleans and learned to cook from her, so when it comes to calling Italian (or Cajun) food 'good', I am pretty picky. I have really enjoyed everything we have had here. The Italian Sausage (on pizza and in pasta) reminds me of my Grandfathers; it has such great flavor! I like my food spicy and the Spicy Shrimp and Italian Sausage really hit the spot! It isn't going to set your head on fire, but if you like bland food, don't order it. I have taken a pizza to go and to be honest, thought the toppings on it were sparse, but we then went and ate pizza there and it was loaded. Maybe the to-go one was just a one-time thing? I remember for the one we ate in the restaurant, we ordered the hand-tossed. The crust was delicious! Not too bready and just the right crustiness! I haven't seen any children in here, but we have only been for dinner, and usually a little later in the evening. We can't wait to try brunch! This is one restaurant that we will be excited to take visitors to when they come to see us.

I recently ordered veal for dinner. This was the second chance I gave them to get it right. I even told Emily my server that the last time the veal was tough and ask if they would be very selective. The veal arrived and it was again tough and not good at all. What was so bad about this experience is that I told them and no one cared! Nothing at all to make it right. I would find another Italian restaurant - pass on this one.

Underwhelming. Went there for brunch and hoped the long wait would be an indicator of a good meal- no - it was an indicator of poor service. The fresh jalapeño hollandaise on the Cajun benedict showed up on a sparse plate with pickled jalapeños.(see picture) Waitress lost our order. My biggest disappointment was realizing that we could hav gone to La Baguette just down the street.

Must I even leave one star? Classy prices for disappointing, bland food. I just ordered a Chicago style pizza (used to be the best Chicago deep dish in the city) and picked up a soggy, doughy pan crust that was completely inedible. The pasta is horrid too. No flavor, served luke warm. Avoid if you can and don't try to have a business lunch or bring a date here.

My friend heard about this place so we tried it for Brunch, like the other person said you'd think the wait was cause it was good but it's really just poor service. Despite not being that busy the service was really slow, than they lost our order. Strangely when our order did come out it was cold. The food was ok but I thought a bit bland(and cold). My friend said his food tasted good. I might try it again in a year or two but I have no reason to go back anytime soon.
